Meet Keeli and Kali. These two love-birds will be running off to Ohio to elope in September, and I couldn't be happier for them. Keeli (yellow) happens to be my cousin, and when she met Kali, we all knew she was different. Kali seems calm and mellow, and the perfect match for my cousin. My cuzzo deserves so much happiness, and she has found it in Kali.
When talking with them about their engagement session, they wanted it in Chattanooga. I'm based in Knoxville, Tennessee but my whole family is in Chattanooga, Tennessee. So I don't mind making the short drive down, and most of my clients are there anyways! Keeli threw me a curveball and said: "We want a mixture of wooded/scenic views and downtown vibes." And I had to consult my hand Google Maps and local photographer groups to find a wooded, scenic area within a short drive of downtown. I gave her a few options, but none seemed to be "them" and their style, which is A-OKAY! Then I remembered the super cute place a previous client took me, which I will keep a secret for now because it really is a hidden gem. 😉
I showed Keeli some pictures from that session and told her it was a 30 minute drive to downtown, so we'd have to be a little quick with it or meet earlier. She fell in love with this scenic location in Chattanooga and we set our date and time! Going to this location always reminds me that I really need to get in shape, because that combined with my mild asthma is super embarrassing while making the short, yet steep, hike back up to the parking area. Ya girl likes pasta and the couch a little too much. 🤣
I had a blast getting to know Kali a little more, and also seeing a new side of my cousin. They took my prompts like pros, and made the most out of the session. I hope you enjoy viewing this session as much as I enjoyed photographing it.
