FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions
How long do your sessions last?
My general sessions usually last 45 minutes to an hour! This also gives rest time for kiddos, or you. Cause ya know, pictures are hard. :-)
Do you shoot destination weddings?
At this time, I do not offer destination wedding packages. I work a full time job during the week, so my time off for a destination wedding is limited. If you need help finding someone, I know plenty of amazing photographers that currently offer this service, and I'd love to point you in their direction!
Do I have to order prints through you?
No, you do not have to order prints through me. All of my sessions, including weddings, come with a personal print release. You do have the option to order prints and products through me, but it is not mandatory.
How do I book a session with you?
Easy! Just head on over to my contact page, and select whether you're interested in booking a wedding, or a general session. You'll be redirected to a fill out a Questionnaire Form where I will gather more information from you. Then just hit submit and I will email you back with 48 hours.
We're so awkward in front of the camera... will our pictures still turn out good?
I love this question so much. If you look through my portfolio, 80% of the people told me they were so awkard in front of the camera. But do you see how AWESOME they all look? When I do sessions, I give fun prompts and cues that are meant to help relax you, get you adjusted to the camera, and to have fun. They create more natural and candid responses. You soon forget we're taking pictures because you're focusing on the prompt I gave you!
Do you do studio newborn sessions?
I do not. My newborn sessions are usually in your home and a more lifestyle approach. I will capture you coddling and playing with your new babe, changing their diaper, feeding them, etc. I will also spend some time getting some candids of your baby alone and some of their cute little details!
Are you LGBTQ+ Friendly?
Yes! While I am a Christian, my faith teaches love (not hate!), and we are to love everyone as Jesus would. My beliefs are my own, as are yours. Love is love. Family is family. I have many friends and family members that are LGBTQ+ and I don't see them any differently because of my faith. So if you're looking for a photographer to photograph your family or your love without the possibility of judgement, you can rest easy with me. :-) My mission at Sarah Michelle Photography is to capture authentic moments with empathy, trust, and thoughtfulness.
