I am so excited to share this wedding with you guys. It was a literal dream + some humidity. But it's the South, so no surprise there. ;) This wedding is everything rustic, but still elegant and classy all mixed together. We have a barn venue located on a farm, with chickens and horses roaming the grounds. We have wood slices on the tables, which are a personal favorite and something I plan on using for my own wedding!
Taylor and Cole found me June of 2017 and instantly booked me for their June 2018 wedding. I got excited from the moment we started talking about their wedding. The venue, the theme, the colors, everything! She was one excited bride, and I was one excited photographer. After talking for an hour, we signed the contract, picked an engagement session date, and started the planning! You can find their engagement session here.
The minute I arrived to the venue, I stood in awestruck at the details and the beauty of the decorations. Let's just take a moment to soak it all in. Please see the end of this blog post for a full list of the amazing vendors that made this possible!
Moving on from the lovely details of this wedding, I started the day by joining the ladies at the tail end of getting ready - just in time to snatch some shots of the bride getting her hair finished and into her dress! Which is gorgeous - so you'll want to keep scrolling.
Taylor and Cole decided to to a first look to help with time and we are so glad they did! Normally for a first look, it's just the couple and me. But they had an audience for theirs; the whole wedding party!
After the first look, we jumped right into wedding party pictures and knocked out as many photos as we could before the ceremony.
A first look is a great option if you're wanting to spend more time at your reception and less time taking photos. A lot of couples opt to do family formals after the first look, as well. Getting shots done earlier gives you more time to party!
